A follow-up report to Integrating Shared Mobility into Multimodal Transportation Planning: Improving Regional Performance to Meet Public Goals provides three in-depth case studies of how MPOs and their partners are interacting with shared mobility companies to integrate these new options into regional multimodal transportation networks, improving system performance and supporting regional goals. The Boston Region MPO is actively engaging shared mobility providers, coordinating data collection efforts, and working to update the model so that it can accept data​ from shared mobility services in the region, such as bikesharing. This helps stakeholders understand the relative contribution of shared mobility services to regional travel characteristics such as mode-share, and vehicle-miles or hours traveled. 1
